The Tim Hansberger Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Tim Hansberger and to recognize his dedication to agriculture, education, and service within the cooperative community. This $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a first-year student who plans to pursue an agriculture-related degree or career path. The scholarship is intended to assist students as they begin their post-secondary education and to encourage individuals who demonstrate a commitment to agriculture, strong character, and a desire to contribute positively to their communities and the agricultural industry. The recipient(s) is invited to be recognized at the New Vision Co-op Annual Meeting.
Applications must be postmarked, submitted online, or hand delivered to the Brewster office no later than April 15, 2026 in order to be considered for the scholarship. Scholarship recipient(s) will be announced July, 6, 2026. Funds will be immediately dispersed directly to the educational institution.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicant must be an immediate family member of a New Vision Co-op member or child to a New Vision Co-op employee.
2. Applicant must be enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year at an accredited post-secondary university, technical college, or business college.
3. Applicant must be a first-year full-time student, as defined by the institution they are attending.
4. Applicant must be pursuing an agriculture related degree at a two or four year school.
Applications are accepted until April 15, 2026.
